Business Plan Program
The main goal of this competition is enable young minds the ability to come up with a great business plan that is implementable and beneficial to Africa. A reasonable amount would be awarded to enable them carry out their plan and give back to their respective countries in the near future. These scholarship program would involve students who currently are in school, any field of study as long as they have a business plan they hope to implement in Africa in the next year or two. These students would submit their concept papers, attend competition related workshop provided by GK Folks Foundation and submit their financial business pitch. The competition accumulates in the final presentation and award ceremony where a cash amount would be awarded to the Winner to be able them start up their business.
E-commerce Entrepreneurship Program
With the rate at which every business is having to go online to succeed, we would want to be able to push for this E commerce in Africa as well. The most amazing aspect of e-commerce is its ability to impact sales and marketing efforts immediately. This competition would reward the student that is able to come up with an E commerce plan with the aim to be a success entrepreneur and give back to their respective African Countries. These competition would involve writing a business plan for an E commerce Entrepreneur idea that is implementable in Africa, hence a lot of research and time would be put into developing this business plan.
Public speaking Program
Due to cultural difference in the schooling system in Africa and the United States, most African students tend to be shy in school and contribute less to their class discussions. The goal of the program is help enlighten Africans on the culture here in America with regards to speaking in public. The goal is to make each African understand and develop public speaking skills that would help them not only in the class room but in all their life endeavors. GK Folks Foundation would organize various public speaking workshops during the course of the year, student that attend a minimum of four of the workshops can register to compete in the Public speaking competition.
Miss Africa Utah & Idaho Scholarship Programs
The mission of the cultural scholarship program is to promote Africa’s diverse culture, educate people about Africa’s rich heritage, facilitate real economic growth opportunities, and empower youth through education. In addition to participating in this pageant, the contestants gain self-empowering experiences and scholarships. The Miss Africa Utah & Idaho scholarship programs takes place in the Spring of every year, registration starts in the Fall of the previous year and young African woman ages 18 to 30 register to compete by showcase their culture, their pride, their heritage to the great people of Utah and Idaho.
Academic Scholarships to Encourage Strong Grades
International students are not eligible for any government funded scholarships, most of them struggle through school to complete their education. This scholarship is dedicated to advancing and helping International student studying here in the US to student hard and maintain good grade through their school year so they can graduate with honors.
African Students Involved In STEM Programs

Thus, this scholarship is dedicated to advancing and helping International student studying in any Science, Technology, Engineering and Math field here in the US to maintain good grade through their school year so they can graduate with honors. GK Folks Foundation believes that these students are the future of Africa, the goal is that someday, these student would be able to return to their various countries and give back.
